FORMER Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt will reportedly receive an NBA championship ring.

According to a report from the Akron Beacon Journal, “multiple sources” have confirmed that the Cavs have ordered a ring for Blatt, who was unceremoniously fired midway through the team's 2015-16 championship season and replaced by assistant Tyronn Lue.

Blatt, currently the head coach of Darüssafaka Dogus in Turkey, guided the Cavs to a 83-40 record in almost two seasons. The Israeli-American coach managed the helm when the team reached the NBA Finals but lost to the Golden State Warriors in six games last year.

The Cavs were a respectable 30-11 when Blatt was replaced by Lue. Under the first year coach, the Cavs became the first team in NBA Finals history to come back from a 1-3 deficit and defeat a Warriors squad that finished the regular season with a record-setting 73 wins.

It is not yet know if Blatt would join the team during the ring and championship banner ceremony on Oct. 25.
