Nuggets beat Heat to end three-game slide and keep playoff hopes alive

THE Denver Nuggets ended a three-game slide to keep their playoff hopes alive, defeating the Heat, 116-113, on Sunday in Miami (Monday, Manila time).

Danilo Gallinari scored 29 on 11 of 19 shooting as Denver notched its 36th win in 76 outings, still a spot below the playoff places in the Western Conference.

Nikola Jokic had 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Wilson Chandler came off the bench to also score 19.

The Heat absorbed their second straight loss and fourth in the last six games.

Miami stayed in eight spot in the East with a 37-40 record, while the Indiana Pacers are in ninth, also at 37-40 after a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Goran Dragic had 22 points, while Josh Richardson scored 17.

Hassan Whiteside delivered 16 points and 12 rebounds for Miami.
