Hornets halt three-game slide with victory over suddenly struggling Wizards

THE Hornets ended a three-game slide with a 98-93 victory over the suddenly struggling Washington Wizards on Saturday in Charlotte (Sunday, Manila time).

Cody Zeller scored 19 points to lead the Hornets to their 30th win in 69 games.

Marvin Williams came up with 16 points on 5 of 7 shooting, while Kemba Walker also scored 16 although he shot 5 for 18.

The Wizards could not get a win run going after defeating the Chicago Bulls, absorbing their third loss in the last four games.

John Wall had 19 points and eight rebounds for Washington, which suffered their 27th loss in 69 outings.

Bradley Beal came up with 18 points on 6 of 14 shooting, while Bojan Bogdanovic came off the bench to score 12.
