Chris Paul’s 20-20 game powers Clippers past Pelicans side missing Anthony Davis

THE Clippers ended a two-game slide and sent the New Orleans Pelicans to their fifth straight loss, 133-105, on Saturday in Los Angeles (Sunday, Manila time).

Chris Paul came up with 20 points and 20 assists as the Clippers stopped the bleeding after losses to the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors.

DeAndre Jordan scored 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds, while Austin Rivers had 18 points for the Clippers, who have won 17 of 24 games.

The Clippers were without Blake Griffin due to a sore right knee.

Anthony Davis was rested, and the Pelicans absorbed their 17th loss in 24 outings.

Tim Frazier scored 20 and Cheick Diallo came off the bench to score 19 points on 8 of 15 shooting for New Orleans.

Terrence Jones scored 18 points for the Pelicans.
