Clippers stretch streak to four with wire-to-wire win over Mavericks

THE Clippers made it four straight wins with an easy 112-101 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday in Los Angeles (Wednesday, Manila time).

Blake Griffin led the Clippers, who scored the game’s first seven points and were never threatened en route to their 48th win in 79 games.

The Clippers are in fifth but now just half a game behind the fourth-running Utah Jazz (48-30).

Griffin scored 32 on 11 of 14 shooting, while JJ Redick went 6 for 14 and wound up with 25 points.

Chris Paul came up with 22 points and 11 assists, while DeAndre Jordan also had a double-double with 11 points and 20 assists.

The Mavericks suffered their second straight loss and sixth in the last seven games.

Harrison Barnes had 15 points on 6 of 13 shooting, while Yogi Ferrell scored 14, making 5 of 12 field goal attempts.

Wes Matthews added 11 points for Dallas, which absorbed its 46th loss in 78 outings.
