KARL-ANTHONY Towns scored the go-ahead basket and Andrew Wiggins was clutch from the stripe as the Minnesota Timberwolves snapped the Los Angeles Clippers' seven game-winning streak with a 104-101 come-from-behind win at the Staples Center on Thursday (Friday, Manila time).

Towns buried an 18-footer with 44 seconds remaining in the game to give the Wolves its first lead 102-101 since the second quarter.

Clippers guard J.J. Reddick’s missed his attempt in the next play. Wiggins was later fouled after getting the offensive rebound with five seconds left and was sent to the line where he made good on his two free throws. The Clippers twice had a chance to tie from beyond the arc but Reddick and Jamal Crawford both missed their attempts.

Towns finished with 37 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. Wiggins had 27 points. Gorgui Deng added 13 markers and seven boards for Minnesota which broke out of a two-game slump.

DeAndre Jordan led the Clippers with 29 points and 16 rebounds. Austin Rivers had 20 points as the team struggled to hold on to a 12-point third quarter lead with stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin missing the game due to injuries.
