ANTHONY Davis had 45 points and 10 rebounds to lead the New Orleans Pelicans to its fourth straight win, handing the young Minnesota Timberwolves their third straight loss, 117-96, on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).

Terrence Jones added 17 points, E'Twaun Moore scored 12 points, and Tim Frazier finished with 11 for New Orleans (6-10) which trailed in the second half.

Davis scored eight points in a 13-2 run as  the Pelicans took the lead and never looked back.

The Pelicans led by as many as 23 points in the fourth quarter and cruised to their sixth victory in the last eight games after recovering from a slow start to open the season.

Zach LaVine had 26 points for the Timberwolves (4-10). Andrew Wiggins and Gorgui Dieng each added 13 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns finished with nine points and 11 rebounds.
