Pelicans finally score first win of season, at expense of Bucks

THE New Orleans Pelicans finally moved out of the NBA cellar, scoring its first win at the expense of the Bucks , 112-106, on Thursday in Milwaukee (Friday, Manila time).

Anthony Davis scored 32 points for the Pelicans, who used a huge second-quarter surge to take control and held off the Bucks, who suffered their second straight loss.

Etwaun Moore came up with 20 points on 8 of 18 shooting as New Orleans stopped the bleeding after starting the season with eight losses.

The Pelicans victory leaves the Philadelphia 76ers as the only winless team this season.
