Andrew Wiggins buzzer beater lifts Timberwolves to victory over Suns

ANDREW Wiggins drained an 18-footer at the buzzer, lifting the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 112-111 victory over the Suns on Tuesday in Phoenix (Wednesday, Manila time).

The Minnesota Timberwolves wasted a double-digit third-quarter lead, squeaking past the Suns for their third straight win.

Wiggins had 31 points on 11 of 22 shooting, while Karl Anthony Towns had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Wolves notched their 17th win in 45 games.

All Minnesota starters scored in double figures, with Gorgui Dieng delivering 16 points, Ricky Rubio coming up with 14 and Zach Lavine adding 11.

Shabazz Muhammad came off the bench to deliver 16 points.

The Suns saw their win streak end at two as they absorbed their 30th loss in 45 outings.

Devin Booker had 26 points on 9 of 23 shooting, while Tyson Chandler had 22 points and 17 rebounds.
