A few minutes with Jonathan Isaac, a blue-chip prospect in the NBA Rookie Draft
Top NBA draft prospect Jonathan Isaac with SPIN.ph contributing writer Rex Alba.

CLEVELAND - Several famous faces were in attendance at the Quicken Loans Arena where the defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers blew the Toronto Raptors out of the building, 116-105, in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinals.

Among those who witnessed the Cavs' show of force was Jonathan Isaac, a Top 10 prospect in this June's NBA draft. Clad in casual blue jeans and a hoodie, the towering Florida State University alum was gracious enough to grant us a brief interview prior to tip-off.

Spin.ph: Are you rooting for a team tonight?

Jonathan Isaac: No, I don't (chuckles)

Spin.ph: How excited are you for the upcoming NBA draft on June 22nd?

Jonathan Isaac: I'm really excited to get everything going.

Spin.ph: How does it feel to be a freshman and yet projected to be in among the Top 10 prospects?

Jonathan Isaac:  It's just a blessing, man.

Spin.ph: Any plans heading to the draft?

Jonathan Isaac: Just practice and more shoot-around.

Spin.ph: Any words for NBA fans in the Philippines?

Jonathan Isaac:

Oh, I didn't know I have fans in the Philippines man, but if I do, I appreciate you all! Thank you!

With the fickle nature of the NBA draft, there's no telling where exactly Isaac would land. But the 6-10, 209-pound small/ power forward has been reportedly eyed by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Isaac averaged 12 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals a game while at FSU. With his size, shooting ability and athleticism, it is clear that Isaac will find a roster spot in the NBA's 2016-17 season.

This could be a possibility.
