NEW Orleans took advantage of a road-weary and shorthanded Orlando team, posting a season-high 38 fastbreak points, as the Pelicans zoomed past the Magic, 118-98, on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).

The Pelicans started pulling away in closing the first half with an 8-0 run to take a 65-52 lead at the break. Then New Orleans closed out the third quarter strong with an 8-2 blitz to take a 19-point advantage into the final frame.
