KYRIE Irving and Kevin Durant led the way as the Brooklyn Nets eked out a 119-114 victory over the Washington Wizards in an NBA preseason game on Sunday (Monday, Manila time).
Irving scored 18 points on 7 of 9 shooting, while Durant went 5 for 12 and finished with 15 points for the Nets, who took control early with a 38-20 opening period, but allowed the Wizards to tie the game in the third.
Landry Shamet had 13 points off the bench, while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Taurean Prince had 11 points each for Brooklyn.
Rui Hachimura had 18 points, while six other Wizards scored in double figures.
Raul Neto scored 17, while Deni Avdija had 15 points for Washington.
