RUDY Gobert scored 19 points and Jordan Clarkson added 17 as the Utah Jazz eased to victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, 127-96, in an NBA preseason game on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time).
Gobert went 7 for 8 from the field in 24 minutes of play. Clarkson came off the bench, shooting 6 for 12 including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc.
Donovan Mitchell had 18 points, five assists and four steals, while Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley scored 15 each for the Jazz, who took control with a 16-6 first-quarter run and were never threatened.

It was Utah’s first win in three games in the preseason, while New Orleans absorbed its third loss in four outings.
Devonte Graham led the Pelicans with 14 points, while Jonas Valanciunas, Trey Murphy and Herbert Jones scored 12 each.
