THE Mall of Asia Arena management said on Tuesday 70 percent of the tickets to the NBA preseason game between the Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets on October 10 have already been sold.

Tuesday marked the 100-day countdown to the much-awaited game and MOA Arena marketing and sponsorship head Nicole Deato said there are still around 700 tickets available per section of the 13,200-capacity arena, except for the lowest-priced seats at P550.

“The movement of the tickets has been good for the high-priced and the not-so-high-priced tickets,” Deato said.

Deato reported that tickets worth P19 million were sold on the first day of ticket-selling on June 16, with tickets in the Section E in the general admission being sold out after 15 minutes.

“It literally flew out of the shelves,” said Deato.

The most expensive tickets for the game are worth P32,300 for the Premium A section while others are priced at P27,000 (Premium B), P8,400 (Premium C), and P4,200 (Premium D).

“Passion for basketball, you can’t deny it, it continues to surge. We will make sure that we will make it an unforgettable experience,” said Deato.

Former NBA cager Sam Perkins, who played for the Pacers in a career that also included stops with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas, and Seattle, graced the countdown to the preseason match dubbed as the NBA Global Games.
