RAJON Rondo is out indefinitely due to a fractured thumb, the Chicago Bulls announced on Friday.
The Bulls head home to Chicago for Game 3 on Friday evening (Saturday, Manila time) carrying a 2-0 lead over the Boston Celtics in their first-round playoff series, but will miss the services of one of their top contributors in Rondo.
The former Celtic, averaging 11.5 points, 10 assists, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in the first two games of the series, hurt his right thumb in Game 2 and underwent an exam and x-ray shortly after the game.
Surgery is not necessary, according to the Bulls, but the veteran guard is unavailable certainly for Game 3.
OFFICIAL: Rajon Rondo injured his right hand in Game 2 at Boston and is out indefinitely.
