BASKETBALL Hall of Famer Moses Malone died on Sunday at the age of 60, ESPN reported.
Malone, a three-time MVP who was named one of the NBA's 50 greatest players, played for eight teams over 20 NBA seasons and led the league in rebounding six times.
The 12-time All-Star averaged 20.6 points per game and 12.2 rebounds over his career which was highlighted by a championship with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1983. He was named the Finals MVP in that title run.
Nicknamed the 'Chairman of the Boards,' the 6-foot-10 center ranks fifth in the all-time rebounds list with 16,212 and eighth in career points with 27,409.
The cause of death has yet to be reported at posting time.
