STEPHEN Curry is coming over to Manila on September 5 for a brief one-day visit as part of his Asia tour courtesy of Under Armour.
Dubbed ‘The UA Roadshow featuring Stephen Curry,' the tour will also have the reigning NBA MVP going to Tokyo, Beijing, Chongqing, and Shanghai where he’s expected to interact with basketball fans three months after leading the Golden State Warriors to the NBA championship.
“Together with Under Armour, I’m looking forward to sharing my energy and commitment to basketball with the fans and basketball players in Asia who will leave their mark on the game,” said Curry in a statement.
“China and the Philippines have a rich cultural connection to basketball and I’ve heard the game is becoming more popular in Japan by the day. This will be an unforgettable experience and we have some special things planned for some of the best basketball fans in the world,” Curry added.
Before arriving in Manila, the Golden State Warriors star will first visit Tokyo on September 4. He will then head to Beijing on September 6, Chongqing on September 7, and finally Shanghai on September 8.
Interestingly, Curry will be arriving in Manila just weeks after his main rival in the last NBA Finals, Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, makes his second visit to the Philippines in two years.
James will be arriving on August 19 for the Nike Rise program and will stay for a couple of days.
