THE NBA postponed the regular season game between the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves in Mexico City after smoke filled the arena last Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).
The game will be played in Minnesota at an undisclosed date. Ticket holders will be reimbursed the NBA said.
Authorities ordered the arena evacuated 45 minutes before the scheduled 9:30 p.m. tipoff (Eastern Standard Time) after a fire inside a generator room sent smoke inside the modern glass-walled arena that was finished in 2012.
