SM TICKETS has warned the public about purchasing tickets from unofficial online sources ahead of the first-ever NBA preseason game on Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Ash Mandayan, digital strategy and innovation manager for SM Prime Holdings, fired the warning in reaction to a Spin.ph report that tickets for the Houston Rockets-Indiana Pacers game are being sold online at prices lower than face value.
Mandayan warned that tickets being sold could be either dubious or even fake as the firm advised those who still intend to watch the match to purchase only from SM Tickets.
“Tickets purchased from sources other than SM Tickets may not be honored,” said Mandayan.
The SM executive also clarified prices of authentic tickets still available online remain the same.
A check of buy-and-sell website saw tickets being sold at a lower price, with Premium B ticket worth P27,000 being peddled at P18,000.
Scalpers are also found online selling tickets at a higher price than the face value.
Surprisingly, a media credential worth P30,000 was also seen being sold online with organizers now investigating the issue.
