THE Toronto Raptors finally were able to training together, hitting the practice court on Saturday in Orlando (Sunday, Manila time).
Nick Nurse and the Raptors arrived at the Disney Resort on Thursday (Friday, Manila time), driving from Naples where the team stayed for two weeks.
"I had some thoughts about what the structure of the practice would look like and we did it totally different than we normally would," Nurse said.
"Again, just based on the situation I think it's important for us to play, but I also think it's important to kind of ease in or taper in a little bit because we're conscious of health in general."
The NBA scrimmages start July 22, with the Raptors scheduled to face the Houston Rockets on July 24.
"We just wanna play, man. I miss playing basketball. It definitely felt like a basketball atmosphere, and that's all I really care about," Pascal Siakam sais in cbc.ca report.
The season resumes on July 30, with the Utah Jazz facing the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Clippers. A.Q.
