GAME Seven of the 2016 NBA Finals was a must-watch, can’t-miss event for basketball fans, including US President Barack Obama himself.
According to a series of tweets by CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller, President Obama and his family were coming off a vacation from Yosemite and arrived aboard the Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Sunday (Monday, Manila time) just as the final game of the NBA season was winding down.

With only two minutes remaining in the game, President Obama chose to stay aboard the plane to watch the thrilling finish as the Cleveland Cavaliers captured the NBA crown over the Golden State Warriors, 93-89.

The US President stayed on the plane for 10 minutes after landing, tweeted Knoller, which he said was confirmed by the White House.

President Obama then greeted LeBron James and the Cavs on Twitter for their historic feat.
