E’TWAUN Moore and Nickeil Alexander-Walker showed the way as the New Orleans Pelicans eased past the Brooklyn Nets, 99-68, in an NBA tuneup match on Wednesday in Orlando (Thursday, Manila time).
Moore and Alexander-Walker scored 14 points each for the Pelicans, who are without Zion Williamson.
Brandon Ingram came up huge in just 11 minutes of action, delivering 12 points, two assists and two rebounds.
Williamson left the NBA bubble last week and it is uncertain when he will return.
When he re-enters the bubble, Williamson will have to spend time in quarantine before rejoining the Pelicans.
Bosnia’s Dzanan Musa had 11 points for Brooklyn, while Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen added 10 apiece in the 40-minute game.
The NBA limited the opening scrimmages to 40 minutes but the next games will be 48 minutes.
The Pelicans next face the Denver Nuggets then the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks.
Brooklyn takes on the San Antonio Spurs next then the Utah Jazz.
