    Timberwolves ride hot start to cruise to victory over Bucks

    THE Minnesota Timberwolves rode a hot start to cruise to victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, 116-99, at the Target Center on Friday (Saturday, Manila time).

    Andrew Wiggins led the way for the Timberwolves with 31 points on 10-of-18 shooting along with six assists and five rebounds. Zach LaVine heated up from beyond the arc with six triples to finish with 24 markers, while Karl-Anthony Towns also played huge with 18 points and 16 rebounds.

    Minnesota came out firing in outscoring Milwaukee in the first quarter, 34-21, and led by as much as 15 in the first half that the Bucks managed to trim down to seven at halftime. But the Timberwolves didn’t let up after the break, building a 19-point lead in the fourth while the Bucks could only get as close as 11 the rest of the way.

    Giannis Antetokounmpo had 25 points, and Jabari Parker added 20 but Milwaukee still fell to 15-16 with the loss. Michael Beasley chipped in 12 off the bench.
