THE Milwaukee Bucks hardly skipped a beat as they rolled past the San Antonio Spurs, 113-92, in their first scrimmage on Friday, Manila time in Orlando ahead of the NBA’s official return on July 30.
Giannis Antetokounmpo registered 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, four assists, three rebounds, and three steals in less than 22 minutes as the Bucks, entering the bubble with a 53-12 record, showed why they’re the league’s top team.
Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, and sub Frank Mason were the players who finished in double-figure scoring with 17, 16, and 12 points, respectively as the Bucks clamped down on the Spurs and pulled away in the middle quarters of the 40-minute game.
Lonnie Walker IV led the Spurs with 14 points, three boards, and two assists in 25 minutes, while Dejounte Murray chipped in 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks as they went back to action with injured LaMarcus Aldridge.
