MICHAEL Kidd-Gilchrist had 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead a balanced attack by the Hornets who stretched their win streak to three after beating a surprisingly tough Brooklyn Nets, 112-105 in Charlotte on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time).
Reserve guard Ramon Sessions also scored 17 points. Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum added 16 apiece as seven Hornets player scored in double figures.
Charlotte improved its record to 23-21.
Charlotte led at the half 60-46 before Brook Lopez rallied the Nets in the third quarter and managed to outscore the home team by 14 to tie the game at 81.
The Nets led briefly in the last period 98-97 after a basket from Trevor Booker.
A triple by Nicolas Batum sparked a 10-3 run as Charlotte pulled away.
Lopez led all scorers with 24 points. Bojan Bogdanovic added 16 for the cellar-dwelling Nets who are 1-9 in their last 10 games.
