METTA Metta World Peace is working out with the LA Lakers and is close to signing a one-year-deal, according to a report.
World Peace is expected to be with the Lakers during training camp set to start this month, according to Yahoo Sports.
A member of the 2010 Lakers champion squad, the 6-foot-7 World Peace, now 35, looks to join a Lakers squad that now has veteran small forward Nick Young and 34th overall draft pick Anthony Brown.
The former NBA All-Star is expected to saw action in China and Italy after last playing in the NBA with the New York Knicks in 2014.
