Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points as he picked up the slack from Monta Ellis who had an off-night as the Dallas Mavericks held off a late charge from the Golden State Warriors for a 103-99 win on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).
Nowitzki shot 11 of 19 from the field with three assists and two steals. Ellis had a season-low four points on 2-of-16 shooting, but finishedn with 10 assists.
Stephen Curry had 29 points for the Warriors, who were playing after a one-point win in New Orleans the previous night. Klay Thompson and David Lee both added 20 points each, while Lee had 12 rebounds and Thompson 10 boards.
