THE Phoenix Suns’ season continued its downward spiral on Wednesday (Thursday Manila time) after two of their players had a shocking shoving match in the game they lost against the Golden State Warriors.
During a timeout against the Warriors, TV cameras caught Markieff Morris shoving Archie Goodwin at the bench before teammates intervened to prevent the incident from escalating.
The Suns lost the game, 112-104.
The incident is the latest in what's been a turbulent season for the once-promising Suns. Already beset with injuries to their stars Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, Phoenix would go on to fire their head coach Jeff Hornacek a few weeks ago after a disappointing 14-35 start.
Phoenix is just 3.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers from the bottom of the Western Conference standings, with a 14-40 win-loss card, and have not won a game since interim head coach Earl Watson took over.
