THE Grizzlies used a huge third quarter to take control and held on to deal the Golden State Warriors their second loss in three outings, 111-101, on Saturday in Memphis (Sunday, Manila time).
Marc Gasol showed the way for the Grizzlies, who peeled away from the tight game with a 32-20 third and went on to take their second win in as many outings.
The Grizzlies defeated the Pelicans in the opener.
Gasol scored 34 and pulled down 14 rebounds, while James Ennis came up with 13 points.
Tyreke Evans came off the bench to score 12 while Mike Conley and Mario Chalmers added 10 each.
The Warriors, who bowed to the Houston Rockets in the opener before defeating New Orleans, got 37 points from Stephen Curry and 29 from Kevin Durant.
