Marc Gasol returns as Grizzlies earn split of back-to-back as Cavs rest Big Three

MARC Gasol returned from a one-day break to power the Grizzlies to a 93-85 victory over a Cleveland Cavaliers side missing its stars on Wednesday in Memphis (Thursday, Manila time).

Held out the night before against the Cavaliers, Gasol came up with 17 points and 11 rebounds to help the Grizzlies take a split of the back-to-back.

Troy Daniels came off the bench to score 20 as the Grizzlies ended the Cavaliers win run at five.

Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and Kevin Love were given the night off.

With the big three out, James Jones led the way for the Cavaliers, coming off the bench to score 15 points.

Fellow reserve Kay Felder scored 14 points, while starting guard Mike Dunleavy had 11 points for Cleveland.

With no one to take charge, the Cavaliers managed to score a season-low 36 points in the first half.

It was another big win for the Grizzlies, who defeated the powerhouse Golden State Warriors just four days ago.

Memphis has won 17 of 26 outings, while the Cavaliers have 18 wins and six losses.
