LOU Williams scored 50 points as the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the shorthanded Golden State Warriors, 125-106, on Wednesday in Oakland (Thursday, Manila time).
The Clippers held the Warriors to 16 points in the fourth and the Clippers made it two straight wins after back-to-back losses.
Williams scored 27 in the third period, the most by any player in a quarter this season.
The Clippers also spoiled Kevin Durant’s milestone night, after the former MVP became the 44th NBA player and second-youngest to score 20,000 points.
The Warriors were without two of their superstars, with Steph Curry out due to an ankle injury and Klay Thompson, who was rested for the game.
Durant, initially said to be on a minutes restriction, woun up playing 31 minutes and scoring 40.
