RESERVES Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams led the way as the Lakers sent the Pelicans crashing back to earth with a 126-99 victory on Saturday in New Orleans (Sunday, Manila time).
Fil-American guard Clarkson came off the bench to play 25 minutes and deliver 23 points on 8 of 12 shooting as the Lakers notched their fifth win in the last six games.
Williams came up with 21 points in 25 minutes of play for the Lakers, who hold a 5-4 record.
D’Angelo Russel went 9 for 16 and finished with 22 points in 28 minutes of play, while Nick Young was the only other starter to score in double figures with 15 points.
New Orleans couldn’t notch a follow-up win to its victory over Milwaukee, and suffered its ninth loss in 10 games.
Anthony Davis was the only Pelicans starter in double figures with 34 points.
Buddy Hield scored 18 and Langston Galloway chipped in with 12.
