    James, Thompson, Love show way as Cavs score wire-to-wire win over lowly Nets

    LEBRON James led the way as usual, Tristan Thompson made his presence felt, and Kevin Love returned from injury to help the Cavaliers rip the lowly Brooklyn Nets, 119-99, on Friday in Cleveland (Saturday, Manila time).

    The Cavaliers got off to a strong start, overpowering the Nets, 29-15 in the first quarter and were never threatened on the way to their third straight win.

    James scored 19 points on 7 of 16 shooting in 27 minutes of action, while Thompson went 7 for 8 and wound up with 16 points.

    Back from a two-game absence due to a bruised left knee, Love played 25 minutes and scored 14 although he went 4 for 14 from the field.

    Mike Dunleavy came off the bench to score 14, while Kyrie Irving had 13 points for Cleveland, which has won 22 of 28 games.

    The Nets suffered their fourth straight loss and 21st in 28 outings.

    Brook Lopez scored 16 in 22 minutes of action, while Spencer Dinwiddie came off the bench to score 13 for Brooklyn.
