THE Los Angeles Lakers continued to show their potential with LeBron James leading the way as they stunned the Denver Nuggets, 121-114, at the Staples Center for the team’s first win streak this season.

James registered a triple-double of 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in his first home win of the season – and the Lakers’ second straight after starting the season with three losses.

The Lakers also dealt Denver its first loss of the season after four victories.

Kyle Kuzma and Javale McGee added 22 and 21 points, respectively, while sub Lance Stephenson sparked the late surge and was one of three Lakers who scored 12 points.

Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 24 and 22 points, respectively as they both finished with double-doubles.

Denver also got a boost from sophomore guard Monte Morris, who chipped in 20 points, seven assists, three boards, and three steals without a turnover in 27 minutes off the bench.
