EVERYTHING is fine within the Los Angeles Lakers camp as far as Luke Walton is concerned.
The Lakers coach shot down rumors of tension between him and superstar LeBron James as the Lakers come out of the All-Star break outside the West playoff circle of eight teams.
“LeBron and I get along just fine,” Walton told TMZ Sports.
Jackie MacMullan of ESPN earlier reported that there was “a lot of tension in that building,” saying LeBron’s camp feels it would be in the Lakers’ best interest to part ways with the team that’s mired in mediocrity in James’ first season.
But Walton denied the friction, expressing confidence his team, running 10th in the West at 28-29, can still catch the playoff bus.
“We have some work to do, but we can do it.”
