    Cavaliers ride huge second quarter to victory over lowly Hawks

    THE Cavaliers took control in the second quarter and held on to beat the lowly Atlanta Hawks, 123-114, on Tuesday in Cleveland (Wednesday, Manila time).

    LeBron James showed the way as the Cavaliers overpowered the Hawks, 31-17, in the second quarter en route to their 20th win in 28 outings.

    The Cavaliers made it two straight wins after the loss to the Indiana Pacers.

    James had 25 points and 17 assists, while Kyle Korver came off the bench to deliver 19 points, making 6 of 9 shots from beyond the arc.

    Kevin Love had 17 points, which was matched by reserve forward Jeff Green.

    The Hawks absorbed their second straight loss and 21st in 27 games.

    Taurean Prince scored 24, while Kent Bazemore added 20 for Atlanta.
