AN executive of a rival Western Conference team believes LeBron James is the best player in NBA history as far as analytics is concerned.
Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey feels the new Los Angeles Lakers cornerstone is the GOAT over Michael Jordan.
"At this point, it's become a bit of a big margin that [LeBron James is the best player in NBA history.]" Morey said in an interview on The Dan Patrick Show.

Bleacher Report also reported Morey’s thoughts.
Morey presented James’ asset that he “generate wins and championship probability,” although adding that anyone doesn’t to have to dive deep into stats: “You don’t need all the numbers. You can watch as well and see that.”
James is in clearly in the GOAT conversation, having won four MVPs, three championships, and has been to eight straight Finals appearances.
Jordan, though, has six NBA titles under his belt – and that trumps whatever analytics present.
