CHANNING Frye, starting for the injured Kevin Love, posted a double-double to help lift the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 116-108 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday in Minneapolis (Wednesday, Manila time).
LeBron James led the way with 25 points and 15 assists, while Frye came up with 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Cavaliers got a new win run gong after bowing to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kyrie Irving also scored 25 points on 10 of 27 shooting, while Tristan Thompson also had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Minnesota, coming off a big win over Chicago, absorbed its 35th loss in 56 outings, even as Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns came up with huge performances.
Wiggins scored 41 on 16 of 29 shooting, while Towns came up with 26 points, making 11 of 16 field goal attempts.
