LEBRON James hoisted the Larry O’Brien and Bill Russell trophies above his head during the Cleveland Cavaliers' championship parade on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).

But what he wore on his feet in his grand homecoming also turned heads, particularly of sneaker afficionados, as the 2016 NBA Finals MVP busted out a rare gem.

James went old school at the festivities, choosing to wear one of his early signature models, the Nike LeBron 2 in the 'Oregon' colorway which was the team shoe for the University of Oregon in 2004. It's also reported to be one of the rarest LeBrons PE shoes made, with only 60 pairs made for both home and away colorways.

'King James' continued his trend of rocking nostalgic sneakers in recent weeks, which started when he brought the Nike Air Zoom Generation 'Rookie of the Year,' supposedly his first signature shoe with Nike, in practice for Game 1 of the 2016 NBA Finals.
