LONZO Ball has yet to make his official NBA debut but the Los Angeles Lakers rookie is already growing in popularity among basketball fans with his preseason performance.

His Filipino fan base, though, looks to grow some more after Ball bared his plan to make his first trip to the Philippines next year.

The second overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft has been making waves on and off the court with the release of his signature sneaker from the Ball-family owned Big Baller Brand, then wearing brands like Nike, adidas, and Under Armour on his way to winning the Las Vegas Summer League MVP.

On Tuesday, Ball continued to endear himself to his followers, particularly in the Philippines in announcing his planned visit ‘next summer’ on Big Baller Brand’s Facebook fan page dedicated to Filipino fans, ‘Follow the Balls.’

“It’s crazy how global basketball is. People have been telling me that the Philippines love the Lakers, so we made a Big Baller Brand fan club called Follow the Balls for the Filipino community,” wrote the Lakers rookie Ball, who averaged 16.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 2.5 steals in the Las Vegas preseason tournament.

“I am really excited to travel to the Philippines next summer and can’t wait to meet y’all as I travel through the states this season!” he added, before asking his fans to like the page.

As of posting time, ‘Follow the Balls’ page has over 9,000 followers.
