THE Los Angeles Lakers withstood a furious late-game rally and survived Devin Booker's career-game to take down the Phoenix Suns, 119-108, extending their win streak to three on Sunday (Monday, Manila time) at the Staples Center.

Nick Young hit some crucial shots in the final period as he led the Lakers with 22 points and seven rebounds. Julius Randle had a solid shooting night, hitting six-of-nine from the field and all six of his free throws, to finish with 18 markers.

Jordan Clarkson also had 18 points, 10 in the fourth period, off the bench, while Timofey Mozgov and Lou Williams scored 14 apiece.

The Lakers led by as much as 16 points but the Suns staged a comeback behind guard Booker, closing the gap, 93-92, at the five-minute mark before LA regrouped.

Clarkson sank a jumper, Young completed a four-point play and Russell hit a trey as the Lakers went on a 9-0 run to extend the lead to 103-92. The Suns, who have won 11 of the last 14 games against LA, unraveled in the end game with back to back offensive fouls from Booker and Tyson Chandler.

The young Lakers now have a 4-3 record and are undefeated at home.

Booker waxed hot for the Suns with a career-best 39 points and seven assists while TJ Warren added 22 markers as Phoenix saw its two-win streak snapped.
