DWIGHT Howard wasn't spared of boos from the crowd during Thursday night’s NBA preseason game between the Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Howard was a disappointment in his second preseason game with the Rockets after his bitter parting of ways with the Los Angeles Lakers, finishing with nine points and three rebounds in 23 minutes in a foul-plagued performance.
The highly regarded 6-10 slotman heard the boos from the Filipino crowd during his trips to the freethrow which has been the low points of his game.
True to form, Howard connected on only one of four attempts from the stripe.
The booing could be attributed to Howard’s recent exit from the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the most popular NBA teams among Filipino fans.
After the transfer, Lakers star Kobe Bryant reportedly “unfollowed” Howard on Twitter while the team’s former center Shaquille O’Neal criticized the move, saying the bright lights of Hollywood were too much for the former Orlando Magic star.
