LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Clippers will hold their annual Filipino Heritage Night this season on January 8 when the team hosts the visiting Charlotte Hornets at Staples Center.
The event, which is also celebrated by other teams league-wide including the two-time defending champions Golden State Warriors, pay tribute to the NBA's robust Filipino-American fan base,

Brandon Ehrlich of CLippers PR told SPIN.ph in an email that final details are still being "nailed down" and will be released soon.
Last season's Filipino Heritage Night was a smashing success for the Clippers as Apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas performed at halftime while Jessica Reynoso of The Voice Philippines sang the national anthem. Sprint Dancer Kyla, who has Filipino, roots was also featured prominently.
The festivities also included a celebrity game between Team@Apl.de.ap vs Team @djeman.
Previous Heritage Night festivities featured Philippine-themed perfomances such as the Tinikling.
