CLEVELAND Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving finally broke his silence on the controversy involving R&B singer Kehlani, whom he dated, and her ex-lover rapper PartyNextDoor (PND).
The issue blew up Monday (Tuesday, Manila time) when PND posted on Instagram implying Kehlani was back with him. The post has since been deleted, but Nate Scott of USA Today's For The Win detailed the controversy including captures of the controversial photo bearing the caption, "After all her shenanigans, still got the r&b singer back in my bed."
Before this, Kehlani appeared to confirm she's happily dating the Cavs guard with a romantic Instagram post, which apparently triggered PND's post.
Irving has since been silent on the issue until Kehlani, who initially disabled her Instagram account, posted a now-deleted photo of an IV attached to her right arm with a caption implying a suicide attempt.
In a series of tweets on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time) that have since been deleted, Irving spoke out and tweeted his support for Kehlani, as reported by Sports Illustrated and captured via screen grab by Cleveland Sports Talk.

While he clarified PND's photo was taken before he dated Kehlani and sent well-wishes to her, Irving emphasized that his focus is on his basketball career as the East-leading Cavs are looking to get back to the NBA Finals and nab the title this time around.
