    Raptors rip Nets behind Kyle Lowry as Demar DeRozan has quiet night

    KYLE Lowry took charge this time as DeMar DeRozan had a quiet night, leading the Raptors to a 116-104 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday in Toronto (Wednesday, Manila time).

    Lowry scored 23 points on 8 of 12 shooting as DeMar DeRozan’s run of 30-point games ended at four.

    The Raptors scored their 20th win in 28 outings, even as DeRozan came up with just 15 points on 6 of 20 shooting.

    Norman Powell came off the bench to score 21 points, while starting forward DeMarre Carroll added 17, making 7 of 11 field goal attempts.

    The Nets absorbed their third straight loss and 20th in 27 games.

    Rondae Hollis Jefferson led the way for Brooklyn, coming off the bench to score 19, while fellow reserve Spencer Dinwiddie added 14 points.
