Raptors fight back from 17 points down to beat Hornets and halt three-game slide

THE Raptors recovered from two anemic middle quarters, limiting the Charlotte Hornets to 10 points in the fourth quarter for a 90-85 victory on Wednesday in Toronto (Thursday, Manila time).

Kyle Lowry showed the way for the Raptors, who scored a total of 27 points in the second and third quarters to trail by 17 entering the final frame.

Toronto outscored Charlotte, 32-10, in the fourth to end a three-game skid.

Lowry had 21 points and five other Raptors finished with double digit scores.

Norman Powell came up with 17 points, Demarre Carroll scored 13 and pulled down 11 rebounds, while Jonas valanciunas also had a double-double with 10 and 11.

Demar DeRozan scored 10 on a dismal 5 of 19 shooting, while Delon Wright came off the bench to deliver 11 points for Toronto.

The Hornets suffered their fourth straight loss and 32nd in 56 outings.

Frank Kaminsky scored 27 on 11 of 18 shooting, while Kemba Walker went 8 for 15 and delivered 24 points for Charlotte.
