FRUSTRATED with the Los Angeles derby that never was?
Not the Lakers.
Kyle Kuzma said the Lakers, top team in the Western Conference in the regular season and now back in the conference finals, were not really focused on cross city rivals Clippers while they tried to get past the Denver Nuggets in the semis.

“We’re not focused on the Clippers and we never really were,” Kuzma said in an article on silverscreenandroll.
The Lakers disposed of the Houston Rockets in five games, and Kuzma said they just worked on their own game while the Clippers-Nuggets series went the distance.

Now the Lakers know get to make gameplans.
“It’s all about who’s in front of you. When you focus on other teams instead of taking care of your food, I mean, shit happens like that.
“So, for us, we’ve always focused on us, and then focused on Portland, focused on Houston and controlled what we can control as a team.
“Now our focus is on Denver.”
