    Kobe's game improving but Lakers' rally against Suns fall short

    THE Lakers have yet to win a game with Kobe Bryant in the lineup after Los Angeles fell to the Phoenix Suns at home 114-108 Tuesday night (Wednesday, Manila time). 

    Bryant topscored for the Lakers with 20 points in 29 minutes in his second game back after being sidelined for almost eight-months with a torn Achilles tendon. Kobe led a fourth-quarter rally by the Lakers, who got to within four points with three minutes left but the Suns held on for the win and its first three-game winning streak of the season.

    Goran Dragic scored 31 points, Marcus Morris had 22 points and Eric Bledsoe added 18 points and nine assists for Phoenix which played suprisingly well. Markieff Morris chipped in 15 points.

    Pau Gasol finished with 19 points while Jodie Meeks, Nick Young and Jordan Hill each scored apiece for the Lakers, who have lost three of four to fall back below .500. The Laker bench, contributed 43 points while using just four reserves.
