KOBE Bryant put up a season-high 21 points and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 88-85, getting their first win in four games since the NBA superstar returned from a torn Achilles tendon that sidenlined him for eight months.
Bryant had 8 of 15 field goals and hit two free throws with 37 seconds left in the final period to secure the victory. Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill each scored 15 points for the Lakers and Nick Young added 13 points off the bench.
Kemba Walker tallied 24 points and eight assists for the Bobcats, who have lost three straight games and five of their last seven.
