KOBE Bryant and Kevin Durant have always had high respect for each other, and it was none more apparent than on Thursday (Manila time).
Moments after the OKC Thunder blitzed the Lakers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the two NBA superstars swapped shoes - which by the way are among the best-selling in the business - as well as praise.
According to a tweet by ESPN.com writer Royce Young, Bryant, who is retiring at the end of the season, scribbed a note in the pair of Kobe 11 he handed to the Thunder superstar.
It read: 'To KD, be the greatest.'
That seemed to be the challenge the retiring Lakers star has for Durant, who, in previous interviews, had labeled Bryant and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan as the GOATs (Greatest of all time).
The admiration is mutual.
Just a few days ago, Bryant included Durant on his short list when asked about the five toughest players he had to play against in a Hall of Fame-bound career.
